The Mount Vernon City Council is set to conduct a public hearing on December 22, 2025. This meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Mount Vernon City Hall, located at 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
The hearing is organized under an ordinance adopted by the council on November 19, 2025. The focus will be on a petition to expand the territory of the Mount Vernon New Community Authority. This authority operates as a new community district in accordance with Chapter 349 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Both the ordinance and the petition are accessible for public review at Mount Vernon City Hall, Suite 2016, during regular business hours.
