Kemar Jackson and Rachel Kerns are set to be inducted into the Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) Cougar Wall of Fame. The inductions will take place during halftime at two separate basketball games. Kerns will be honored on November 14 during the men's game against Northwestern Ohio, while Jackson's induction is scheduled for November 15 at the women's game against Oakland City.

Jackson, originally from Kingston, Jamaica, played as a defender for MVNU's men's soccer team from 2007 to 2010. Over his career, he participated in 91 games, scoring 19 goals and assisting seven times. He also made 120 saves as a defender. His accolades include being named to the American Mideast Conference First Team and receiving NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors among others. "Kemar's energy and love for others has always been contagious," said Chip Wilson, Director of Athletics at MVNU. Wilson praised Jackson's ability to bring people together and noted his continued involvement in soccer through coaching.

Rachel Kerns, formerly known as Rachel Fiely, was a key player for the women's basketball team from 2005 to 2009. She holds records for career assists and steals within the program. Kerns also ranks highly in several other statistical categories such as points and free throws made. Her career highlights include being named NCCAA East Region Player of the Year and earning spots on various all-conference teams. "It is no surprise that Rachel is the career assists leader for our women's basketball program," Wilson remarked, highlighting her reputation as a great teammate.
