The Knox Memorial is set to host a series of events as part of its 100th Anniversary Season, sponsored by Ariel Corporation. The season will feature a range of performances and activities aimed at diverse audiences.
Aaron Sorkin's "A Few Good Men" will be staged at the Knox Memorial, offering an intense courtroom drama experience. The play, which originally debuted in 1989 before becoming a well-known film in 1992, will run from November 14 to November 16. It tells the story of two Marines on trial for murder, with their defense team working to uncover hidden truths.
On November 18, Grammy Award-winning songwriter Steve Leslie will perform a tribute concert featuring the music of James Taylor. Leslie's performance promises an authentic rendition of Taylor's hits such as "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" and "Fire and Rain."
The Central Ohio Youth Ballet will present "The Nutcracker" at the Woodward Opera House on December 6 and 7. Directed by Robert Cole, this production features young dancers performing reimagined choreography set to Tchaikovsky's classic score.
For families, the Knox Memorial offers a pancake breakfast with Santa Claus on December 13. This event includes holiday crafts and cartoons and is presented by the Knox County Chamber of Commerce with sponsorship from Mortellaro McDonald’s.
Additionally, a free screening of "The Muppet Christmas Carol" will take place on December 21 at the Knox Memorial. Attendees are encouraged to wear festive attire while enjoying hot chocolate and candy during this nostalgic movie afternoon.
