The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's cross country team participated in the Crossroad League Championships 8K, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on November 7. The team finished sixth out of ten conference teams, scoring 148 points. Indiana Wesleyan University took first place with 53 points.
MVNU achieved their second-fastest total team time in program history, clocking in at 2:08:47.50. Will Baker led the team by finishing fourth and breaking his own school record with a time of 24:29.20. Baker was also the top freshman in the race and earned All-Conference honors. He is now preparing to compete in the 2025 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship on November 21 in Tallahassee, Florida.
The top performers for MVNU included Evan Hodkinson, who placed 24th with a time of 25:40.20; Mason Hendrickson, who came in 35th at 26:04.40; Ryan Lehman, who finished 41st at 26:10.20; and David Burkholder, who secured the 44th spot with a time of 26:23.50.
Mount Vernon Nazarene University is a private Christian university located on a 327-acre campus in Mount Vernon, Ohio. It offers education to nearly 2,200 students from various states and countries.
