Residents of Knox County, Ohio, who are facing difficulties in affording groceries or finding meals can access assistance by calling 211. This service connects individuals to local food pantries, meal programs, and emergency food resources within the community. The 211 service is free, confidential, and available around the clock.

Kristin McCloud, Executive Director of Pathways of Central Ohio, emphasized the importance of this service: "No one should have to choose between paying bills and buying food." She highlighted that 211 provides an easy way for families to find local support to avoid hunger.

To access help, residents can dial 211, visit 211pathways.org, or text their ZIP code to 898211. Trained specialists will then connect them with programs offering assistance with food, housing, utilities, and other essential needs.

The 211 service is a nationwide information and referral network operated locally by Pathways of Central Ohio. It helps residents navigate available resources with compassion and confidentiality. Funding comes partly from Mental Health and Recovery for Licking and Knox Counties as well as the United Way of Knox County.
