Miller sets program saves record for women’s soccer in CL quarterfinals

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team faced a challenging match in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals against Indiana Wesleyan University on November 5. The game, held at Indiana Wesleyan's home field, ended with MVNU losing 0-3 to the Wildcats, who were ranked second.

During the first half, both teams remained scoreless. However, Indiana Wesleyan scored all three of their goals in the second half. Despite the defeat, MVNU's senior goalkeeper Hannah Miller achieved a significant milestone by becoming the university's all-time leader in saves. She entered the match needing five saves to surpass Krysti Wilson's record of 416 saves set between 2003 and 2006. Miller completed the game with 11 saves, bringing her career total to 422.

Mount Vernon Nazarene University concluded its season with an overall record of 8-8-2 and a conference record of 3-6. The university is known for its commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth, offering education to nearly 2,200 students from various regions.
