Women’s Volleyball Team | MVNU

Mount Vernon Nazarene University's women's volleyball team, ranked 12th nationally, secured a victory against Spring Arbor University in a recent conference match held in Spring Arbor, Michigan. The Lady Cougars emerged victorious in four sets, improving their season record to 22-7 and their conference record to 13-4.

The match began with the Lady Cougars taking the first set 25-17. In the second set, they built an early lead but faced resistance from Spring Arbor, who tied the score at 14-14. However, MVNU regained control and won the set 25-21, gaining a 2-0 advantage. Spring Arbor responded by winning the third set 25-20, narrowing MVNU's lead to 2-1. The Lady Cougars then dominated the fourth set with a score of 25-14 to secure the win.

Freshman Morgan Schlabach led MVNU with 15 kills and 10 digs. Libby Evanshine contributed 13 kills, while Evelyn Brown added another 12. Reagan Nuss provided significant support with 48 assists, and Jaelyn Tang anchored the defense with 32 digs.

Looking ahead, MVNU will face the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana for their final regular-season match on November 5 at 7:00 p.m.
