Miller reaches career milestone despite team's loss to Grace College

Mount Vernon Nazarene University's women's soccer team faced a challenging match against Grace College on October 25. The game, held in Mount Vernon, Ohio, marked Senior Day for MVNU, honoring seniors Hannah Miller, Alexis Hoffman, Meghan Moser, and Avery Erslan.

Grace College took control early in the match with Cassidy Felger scoring at the 7th minute and Ellie Grieser adding another goal at the 19th minute. Both goals were assisted by Rosalie Gefrorer. In the second half, Abby Hodkin scored at the 61st minute with an assist from Grieser, followed by Rylee Burns' goal at the 69th minute assisted by Hodkin. Grace College finished with a decisive 4-0 victory.

The visiting team dominated offensively with 33 shots compared to MVNU's three. Grace had 18 shots on target while MVNU managed two. Chelsea Simpson and Emmie Hoffman each contributed a shot on goal for MVNU.

Despite the loss, goalkeeper Hannah Miller stood out by making 14 saves during the match. She reached her milestone of both her 100th save of the season and her 400th career save.

MVNU will play its final home game against Huntington on October 29 at 7:00 p.m.
