The Northridge Local School District Board of Education has announced the appointment of Matthew Lauvray as the new Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2026. Lauvray will assume responsibilities as the chief financial officer, collaborating with the Superintendent and Board to oversee district finances and guide long-term planning through financial forecasting.

Lauvray brings over two decades of experience in accounting and auditing, including a significant tenure with the Ohio Auditor of State's Local Government Services Division. He joined Northridge as an Accountant in 2021. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he holds both a Treasurer’s License and a Business Manager’s License from the Ohio Department of Education.

"I am honored to serve Northridge in this new capacity," said Lauvray. "I look forward to supporting our students, staff, and community through strong financial stewardship and continued excellence."

The Board expressed gratitude to Britt Lewis for his more than 14 years of service as Treasurer/CFO. Under Lewis's leadership, the district maintained 12 consecutive clean audits and earned nine Auditor of State Awards. His tenure also saw the completion of major capital projects such as a new elementary school, athletic stadium, and bus garage. Additionally, district technology was upgraded, and pay-to-participate fees for athletics were eliminated.

Starting January 1, 2026, Lewis will transition into a Fiscal Projects Consultant role to facilitate a smooth transition until his planned retirement at the end of that year. "I am grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting Northridge in this new role," said Lewis. "I have full confidence in Matt Lauvray to lead the Treasurer’s Office into the future, and I look forward to a smooth and successful transition."

The Board thanked both Lewis and Lauvray for their dedication to maintaining Northridge Local Schools' financial health.
