MVNU women's soccer falls to Taylor University in weekend match

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team faced a challenging match against No. 16 Taylor University, resulting in a 2-0 defeat on Saturday, October 18. The game took place in Upland, Indiana, where Taylor University's Eliza Luttrell scored the first goal at the 32nd minute with an assist from Kiana Siefert. Luttrell secured another goal unassisted at the 77th minute.

Taylor University dominated the game with 18 shots compared to MVNU's 10, and they had eight shots on goal while MVNU managed four. Bekah Blair led MVNU with four shots, including one on target. Hannah Miller, the goalkeeper for MVNU, made six saves during the match. This performance brings her season total to 98 saves and just eight short of reaching 400 career saves.

Looking ahead, MVNU will host Grace College at CH4 Stadium on Saturday, October 25 at 3:00 p.m., marking their Senior Day event.
