The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team faced Marian University in a competitive Crossroads League match at Ariel Arena on October 17. The game saw both teams exchanging victories in sets, with Marian ultimately securing the win with a final set score of 15-13.
Despite the loss, MVNU's Faith Maloney achieved a personal milestone by surpassing 1,000 career kills. Maloney, a senior from South Webster, Ohio, contributed 11 kills, five digs, three blocks, and three service aces during the match. Libby Evanshine led with 16 kills, while Evelyn Brown added 13 kills with a .346 hitting percentage. Reagan Nuss provided a match-high of 44 assists along with eight digs and four kills. Jaelyn Tang recorded a match-high of 22 digs.
Looking ahead, MVNU is set to host Indiana Wesleyan University on October 22 at Ariel Arena. The university is known for its commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth across its diverse student body of nearly 2,200 students from various states and countries.
