The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's cross country team achieved a commendable third-place finish at the Jenna Strong Fall Classic, held in Wilmington, Ohio. The event took place on Friday, October 17, and was hosted by Wilmington College. The team scored 104 points in the competition, which included 22 teams.
NCAA Division-1 Eastern Michigan secured first place with 66 points, while Wittenberg University came in second with 102 points. Notably, Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) was the top finisher among all NAIA teams participating in the event.
Tammy Liplin led the MVNU Lady Cougars with an impressive 11th place finish and a time of 19:02.4. Other notable performances from MVNU included Ashley Yoder finishing 13th with a time of 19:25.0, Lauren Warder placing 25th at 19:50.9, Raelyn Barrett securing the 28th spot with a time of 19:58.8, and Janelle Gehman coming in at 35th with a time of 20:08.9.
