Families across Licking County are invited to the 7th Annual KidsLinked Newark-Licking County Fall Festival & TreatFest, happening on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Canal Market District, 36 East Canal Street, Newark, Ohio. The free, three-hour event promises an afternoon filled with pumpkins, games, and fall festivities for all ages.

Presented by Ryan Schreiber, Agent – Madison-Collins-Stephens Agency, the community celebration will feature a variety of family-friendly attractions, including pumpkin giveaways, trick-or-treating, hayrides, mini golf, carnival games, bounce parks, live entertainment, and food trucks. The first 200 guests will receive a free pumpkin and free Timbits from Tim Hortons, while the first 500 children will receive special stickers during character meet-and-greets.

Beloved characters such as Stitch, a Minion, and Sonic will greet guests throughout the afternoon. The costume contest, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on the main stage, will award prizes including gift cards to local attractions like Scene 75 and Skate Zone 71. Additional contests, such as the Limbo and Hula Hoop challenges, will take place shortly after, adding to the excitement.

Younger attendees can enjoy the Bubble House, tunnel and fort zones, and petting zoo, while families can participate in fun fair-style activities like mini golf, fishing games, and a giant prize wheel. Food trucks will serve dinner and snacks throughout the event.

For visitors looking for extra perks, organizers are offering Everything Pass and Ultimate Everything Pass options, which include unlimited activity access, VIP goodie bags, and early entry privileges.

Early registration is encouraged at the KidsLinked website, and check-in begins promptly at 1 p.m. at the Canal Market District.
