Mount Vernon Nazarene University's golf team competes in Egypt Valley Championship

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's golf team participated in the Egypt Valley Championship, hosted by Taylor University on October 6-7. The team finished fifth out of eight teams, concluding the tournament with a total score of +90 over three rounds. Taylor University secured first place with a score of +28.

Bennett Hill led Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) with a top 10 finish, placing eighth overall with a total score of +13 (+6, +3, +4). Jack Mayle tied for 17th with a score of +23 (+8, +6, +9), while Isaac Gessner tied for 27th at +27 (+10, +11, +6). Will Streby ended up tied for 39th with a score of +38 (+12, +16, +10), and Luke Walton was tied for 41st at +39 (+17, +5, +17).

Looking ahead, the men's golf team will conclude their fall season at the Holy Cross Invitational in Notre Dame, Indiana. This event is scheduled to take place at the Warren Golf Course on October 20-21.
