The Works Block Party | The Works

The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology is set to host "Night at the Museum: Block Party," an event inspired by Minecraft, on Friday, October 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. The evening aims to engage families in a variety of building, crafting, and engineering activities within a creative environment.

Fred Boll, Executive Director of The Works, emphasized the event's focus on imagination and discovery. "We love giving families the chance to explore the museum in new ways and be inspired by hands-on activities that combine play with STEAM learning," he said.

The event will feature interactive stations throughout the museum where guests can build characters using blocks, tackle a museum "mine" challenge, and participate in engineering and art activities. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes representing their favorite pixelated or Minecraft-inspired characters.

Admission to the event is included with regular museum entry and is free for members. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. It is important to note that this event is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft; Minecraft remains a registered trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.

For further details or ticket purchases, visit www.attheworks.org or call 740.349.9277. The Works is located at 55 S. 1st Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
