MVNU Night with Nashville | Mount Vernon Nazarene University

Mount Vernon Nazarene University is set to host "A Night with Nashville: Benefiting Cougar Baseball with the Hits" on November 15, 2025. The event will take place at 8 p.m. in the Thorne Performance Hall, located within the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Fine Arts Center. This occasion is part of the Homecoming & Family Weekend and will feature Grammy-nominated songwriters Brian White ’79, Karyn Williams, and Jesse Reeves.

The songwriters have written hits for prominent artists in Christian and country music, including Chris Tomlin, Danny Gokey, and Jason Aldean. Attendees can expect an evening filled with music and storytelling as the artists perform their well-known songs and share the stories behind them.

Tickets for the concert are priced at $30, with proceeds going towards MVNU’s On Deck Campaign for Cougar Baseball. Prior to the concert, Brian White will conduct a free workshop titled "So You Wanna Be A Songwriter: Helpful Hints to Kickstart Your Songwriting Journey" at 2:30 p.m., also in Thorne Performance Hall. This session aims to guide aspiring songwriters by drawing from White's extensive career achievements.

Both events are open to the public, and tickets can be purchased through mvnu.edu/on-deck. Mount Vernon Nazarene University offers a comprehensive education to nearly 2,200 students from various states and countries.
