Will Baker, a freshman from Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), has been named the Crossroads League Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. This recognition comes after his performance at the All-Ohio Meet in Cedarville, Ohio, where he finished second overall with a time of 24:37.9, just a tenth of a second behind the winner. This race marked only his second as part of the MVNU men's cross-country team.
Baker's achievement is notable as he broke his own school record set earlier this month at the IWU Twilight Meet on September 5. The upcoming competition for Baker and his team will be at the OWU Invite in Delaware, Ohio, scheduled for October 3 at 6:00 p.m., hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
