The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team faced the University of Rio Grande in a match that ended in a scoreless draw. The game took place on Wednesday, September 17, with MVNU outshooting their opponents in the first half 4-0. Despite increasing their attempts to seven shots in the second half, the Lady Cougars could not break the deadlock.

Alexis Hoffman led MVNU's offensive efforts with three shots, two of which were on target. Meghan Moser and Chelsea Simpson each contributed two shots, while Emmie Hoffman, Cora Bishop, Becca Drew, and Avery Erslan added one shot apiece. Overall, MVNU recorded 11 shots with seven on goal.

Defensively, MVNU restricted Rio Grande to just three shots throughout the match, none of which threatened the goal. Hannah Miller played a crucial role for the Lady Cougars by maintaining her fifth shutout of the season over 90 minutes.
