The Danville Local School District announced that the Danville FFA Chapter has been awarded a $4,900 grant through Tractor Supply Company's 2025-2026 Grants For Growing Funding program. This funding will directly support the chapter’s agricultural mechanics curriculum, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with modern equipment used in the field today.

With the grant, Danville FFA plans to upgrade tools and technology that will enhance competence in metal fabrication and other essential skills tied to agricultural mechanics. Chapter Advisor, Mr. Myers, emphasized the importance of keeping pace with industry standards, noting that the new equipment will better prepare students for future careers in agriculture and technical trades.

"The chapter is grateful for the partnership with Tractor Supply Co, because the grant funding will provide Danville FFA students with valuable hands-on experiences for years to come with the purchase of the updated equipment," Myers said.

Danville FFA Vice President Sierra Shields also underscored the impact of the grant on the students' learning journey and long-term professional development.

"These funds will allow us to provide our students with safer, more advanced tools and give them real-world skills that they can take beyond the classroom," Shields stated.

Chapter Officer Maycee Samples said they are "incredibly grateful to Tractor Supply Company for this grant."

Danville FFA "is a group of young leaders who strive to be their personal best through instruction in and outside of the classroom!" according to their Facebook page.
