The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's tennis team began their season with a loss against Capital University. The match took place at the Ramser Tennis Courts on Saturday, September 6, resulting in a 1-6 defeat for MVNU.
Despite the overall loss, MVNU secured a point through doubles victories. Deah Bresson and Annie Mahek teamed up to win their match 7-5, marking Mahek's first collegiate win. Alanna Reyes and Andi Green also contributed with a doubles victory, finishing with a score of 6-2.
Looking ahead, MVNU is scheduled to play against Shawnee State on September 20 in Portsmouth, Ohio. The time for the first serve has yet to be announced.
