The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team maintained their unbeaten streak with a 2-0 victory over Indiana University Kokomo. The match took place on Saturday, September 6, at CH4 Stadium. The Lady Cougars secured an early lead in the first half.

Chelsea Simpson opened the scoring for Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) after receiving a cross from Emmie Hoffman and a header from Bekah Blair, putting them ahead with 8:51 remaining in the first half. Avery Erslan added to the scoreline with an unassisted goal in the 16th minute.

MVNU dominated the game, outshooting IU Kokomo 27-4, with 20 of those shots on target. Alexis Hoffman led MVNU's efforts with nine shots, seven of which were on goal. Goalkeeper Hannah Miller achieved her fourth shutout of the season by making four saves during her full 90 minutes on the field.

Looking ahead, MVNU will play against the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima on Wednesday, September 10, at 4:00 p.m.
