The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's cross-country team is gearing up for the 2025 season. The team ended their 2024 season on a high note with a commendable performance at the Crossroads League Championship Meet and aims to build on that success. As they enter the new season, MVNU is receiving votes in the 2025 NAIA Women's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The team boasts a strong lineup of returning athletes. Seniors Raelyn Barrett, Julia Kanagy, and Lauren Warder are expected to bring experience and leadership to the squad. Sophomore Tammy Liplin was notable in the previous championship, finishing 19th and setting a school record for the 6k with a time of 22:54.80.

Coach Taylor has also recruited three freshmen to strengthen the team: Allison Bonito from Johnstown, Ohio; Ella Wigal from Wooster, Ohio; and Kortney Witherow from Kingston, Missouri.

MVNU's first meet of the season will take place at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. The Twilight Meet is scheduled for Friday, September 5, starting at 6:00 p.m.
