The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's cross-country team is set to kick off its 2025 season at the Indiana Wesleyan University Twilight Meet in Marion, Indiana. The event is scheduled for Friday, September 5, with a start time of 6:40 p.m.

Reflecting on the previous year, MVNU concluded its 2024 season at the Crossroads League Championship Meet, showing consistent improvement throughout. This year's team includes a strong group of returning athletes who aim to build on last season's progress. Seniors Mason Hendricks, Evan Hodkinson, and Alex Hayden are expected to provide leadership and experience for the relatively young team. Notably, both Hendrickson and Hodkinson were recognized on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for their achievements both academically and athletically.

In addition to the seasoned athletes, Coach Taylor has welcomed four new freshmen recruits: William Baker from Mount Gilead, Ohio; Ethan Jackson from Centerburg, Ohio; Levi Moles from Red House, West Virginia; and Ryan Swalley also from Mount Gilead, Ohio.

Mount Vernon Nazarene University is a private Christian institution offering undergraduate and graduate programs. It serves approximately 2,100 students across various states and countries. The university emphasizes academic excellence alongside spiritual growth and community service.
