Squires brings over a decade of experience in cheerleading and more than three years in coaching. Her background includes a successful high school career followed by her time at Thomas More University, where she served as team captain for two seasons. During her tenure there, she led various team activities and received accolades such as the Mid-South Conference Champions of Character honor and the Women's Saints Award.
Reflecting on her new role, Squires said, "I am honored to be stepping into the role of head cheer coach at Mount Vernon Nazarene University." She emphasized her lifelong connection to cheerleading and her commitment to fostering skills, confidence, and teamwork among athletes.
