In 2025, the Knox Memorial Theater will mark its 100th anniversary with a special event organized by the Knox County Historical Society. John Nixon, the theater's long-time Technical Manager, will deliver a presentation sharing his experiences behind the scenes. Following his talk, attendees can participate in a tour of the historic building, which includes Veterans Hall and the Ballroom.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Knox Memorial Theater located at 112 E. High Street in Mount Vernon, Ohio. It is free and open to the public. While all ages are welcome, the program is primarily intended for adults.

For further details about this event, interested individuals can contact either the Knox County Historical Museum at (740) 393-5247 or the Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County at (740) 392-BOOK. Additional information is available on their websites: www.knoxhistory.org and www.knox.net.
