Teens in grades 6–12 are invited to join a creative and community-minded event at the West Newark (Emerson R. Miller) Branch of Licking County Library. Scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., this program blends arts and crafts with a deeper purpose.

"Craft for a cause, show up for others, be the change you want to see in the world—all through the items you create," the event poster reads.

Held at the West Newark location—990 West Main Street in Newark, Ohio—the program offers a safe and inclusive space for teens to gather, create, and connect. Participants are encouraged to use their talents to support causes that matter. The one-hour event is part of the library’s general programming for youth, designed to inspire action, empathy, and connection through hands-on creativity.

As part of its commitment to education and outreach, Licking County Library occasionally photographs or records programs for promotional use. Teens and guardians who prefer not to be included in photos or videos are asked to notify a staff member upon arrival. This ensures everyone’s comfort while allowing the library to share the impact of its youth programming with the broader community.
