This year's Summer Front Porch Concert returns to the streets of Mount Vernon for one final evening on Aug. 15, capping off a season of community and music with an evening of performances, local art and spirited fun.
From 6 to 9 p.m., East High Street will once again become a hub for neighbors and visitors as historic porches host the last round of live acts.
Singer and actress Kelly Yerxa Lauth will be one of the evening’s featured performers. Also headlining is Americana ensemble Six Miles to Nellie, known for its heartfelt storytelling and dynamic stage presence. The Third Degree, a Central Ohio band specializing in hits from the '60s through the '80s, will add retro flair to the night.
July's concert welcomed more than 900 attendees to East High Street, where porches served as stages and sidewalks doubled as dance floors. The August edition promises similar excitement, with an expanded lineup and surprise elements designed to delight guests and celebrate the Mount Vernon community. The event is organized by Kokosing Valley Arts Alliance and Nellie Six Productions
