The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology is hosting a fundraising event on August 21, 2025, at 6 PM in its LeFevre Courtyard. The event, titled "La Bella Vista: An Evening in the Garden," aims to support a new educational initiative for students in Licking County.
Fred Boll, the newly appointed Executive Director of The Works, said, "We’re excited to unveil this important new project that expands our commitment to youth development and education." He added that the summer party is an opportunity for guests to make a lasting difference for future generations.
The evening will feature Italian-inspired food and live music by the Tom Carroll Trio. Guests can participate in interactive experiences aligned with the museum's core pillars: science, art, history, and glass. These include learning about craft mocktails' chemistry, watching artist Kathy Anderson create a live painting of Italy, exploring a historic Interurban Railway Car, and engaging in a community glass fusing project.
Tickets are priced at $55 for members and $65 for non-members. The event is supported by sponsors such as Truck One, Park National Bank, Licking Memorial Health Systems, Cutwater Spirits, Denison University, Mortellaro McDonalds, and NÜTRL.
