Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival announces schedule for August event

The Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival is set to take place from August 7 to August 10, 2025. The festival will feature a variety of events and performances across multiple stages in Mount Vernon.

On Thursday, August 7, festival vendor hours are scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with KidFest running from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Activities on the South Stage include Paragraphs Storytime at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Kids Dance Party at 6:30 p.m., and a performance by McKinley Figurski at 7:00 p.m. The Main Stage will host the opening ceremony from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., featuring the Danville High School Marching Band, Exchange Club, and Dogwood Blossoms Chapter of Sweet Adelines. Performances by The Engine Room and Phil Dirt & The Dozers are also scheduled.

Friday's activities begin with festival vendors open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and KidFest from noon to 9:00 p.m. The MVMAF Flower Show will be held at The Living Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., alongside the WOW bus on the Square during the same hours. The South Stage will feature a Youth Showcase starting at 11:00 a.m., with various performances throughout the day including Sarah Goslee Reed and Jamee Hershberger. On the Main Stage, Gypsy Stew kicks off at noon, followed by several acts including Nate Smith and Sorelle.

Saturday's schedule includes vendor hours from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., KidFest from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and an MVMAF Flower Show from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Poker Run registration begins at 9:00 a.m., with additional attractions such as Almost Famous Sweets & Sodas and Chalk Art Competition taking place around the Square. Performers like Mason Chesnut, West African Percussion, and Jeff Eno will entertain attendees throughout the day.

Sunday concludes the festival with vendor hours from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., KidFest until early afternoon, and an MVMAF Flower Show until late afternoon at The Living Center. A Car & Motorcycle Cruise-in starts registration at 8:00 a.m., while performances on both stages continue through midday.
