The Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) baseball team has been recognized for its academic achievements during the 2024-25 academic year. The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced that MVNU is among the recipients of the 2024-25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. This accolade is given to ABCA member teams across high school and collegiate levels that maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
MVNU was one of only 37 NAIA schools nationwide to receive this award, marking the seventh consecutive year it has achieved this honor. The university, located in Mount Vernon, Ohio, offers education to nearly 2,100 students from various states and countries. It emphasizes academic excellence alongside spiritual growth and community service.
