The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County is inviting families to its Touch-A-Truck event on Wednesday, July 30.

The event is a chance for the community to get up close and personal with big rigs, construction equipment, and more. The hands-on experience will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Ariel-Foundation Park.

Kids can climb aboard, honk horns, and imagine life behind the wheel while exploring a variety of vehicles. The free event encourages children to learn through play, while parents can enjoy watching their kids’ imaginations run wild.

Patron parking will be available at the Schnormeier Event Center and the Clock House and Tower on South Norton Street in Mount Vernon. Admission is free and open to all. For more information, visit www.knox.net or call (740) 392-2665 ext. 248.

The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County strives to stimulate ideas and foster learning, enriching the quality of life for everyone it serves.
