Young athletes will have the opportunity to enhance their skills with one of Ohio's leading softball programs during the Mount Vernon Jackets' two-day clinic this summer.
According to organizers, the clinic will be hosted by the 2025 Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) state runner-up Mount Vernon High School softball team. It is scheduled for August 4-5 from 5 to 7 p.m. and is open to players entering grades 3 through 8.
Participants will receive instruction on hitting, defense, and baserunning from experienced coaches and players. To conclude the clinic, Jackets head coach Ryan Pentz will conduct a Q&A session for parents and share drills they can use at home to support their athletes' development.
The cost for both days is $50, providing young players with a valuable opportunity to learn from one of Ohio’s elite programs. For more information or to register, interested parties are encouraged to contact Mount Vernon High School’s athletic department.
