The heart of Fredericktown is set to light up this summer with an unforgettable Independence Day celebration at Sockman Community Park. On Friday, July 4, the Fredericktown Recreation District and the Community Development Foundation invite locals and visitors alike to gather at 10 Ankneytown Rd (SR 95) for a fun-packed day of music, food, and festivities beneath the stars and stripes.
The celebration begins at noon, featuring lake access for swimming until 7 p.m. Festivalgoers can also enjoy a classic car show, softball tournament, and bingo running well into the evening. Activities are family-friendly, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to settle in for the day.
Food will be a highlight, with local vendors like On the Rise BBQ, Tropical Sno, Kettle Korner, Mama Lupe’s, and The Mason’s Lodge serving up delicious bites.
Live music will carry the holiday spirit throughout the event, with performances by local artists Stevie Eyer, Travis Beeman, and The Broken Spokes.
The event, sponsored by Fredericktown Chevrolet, Miller Electrical Solutions, and Schafer Driveline, will conclude with a fireworks display set to patriotic music on 100.9 FM.
