MVNU appoints Dr. Judy Gregg as dean of new arts and sciences college

Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) has appointed Dr. Judy Gregg as the Dean of its newly-formed College of Arts and Sciences. This appointment is part of MVNU's strategic academic restructuring aimed at enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration and student success.

Dr. Gregg, who has been with MVNU for over a decade, previously served as Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. Her career includes experience in hospital administration, higher education, and public health advocacy.

"We are incredibly blessed to announce that Dr. Judy Gregg has accepted the role of Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences at Mount Vernon Nazarene University," said MVNU President Dr. Carson Castleman. "Dr. Gregg has been an outstanding leader on our campus for many years."

In her new role, Dr. Gregg will oversee all undergraduate programs within the College of Arts and Sciences, focusing on faculty development, curriculum planning, assessment, accreditation, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

"I’m honored to serve as Dean of the newly restructured College of Arts and Sciences," said Dr. Gregg. "The transition to the new college structure marks a significant step forward for MVNU."

Dr. Gregg holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Carlow University and nursing degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University and Excelsior College.

"As an empathic leader, Dr. Gregg is committed to doing what is right and advancing the University’s mission," added Dr. Castleman.

Dr. Gregg begins her new role immediately while ensuring continuity in decision-making and strategic planning during this transition period.
