Mount Vernon High School students are currently on an educational tour in Italy, experiencing the country's rich history, art, and culture. The group includes students Aiden Hawkes, Dawson Ward, Cole Smith, Arron Yeager, Ella Maddux, Riley Jones, and Dakota Priest. They are accompanied by chaperone Kayla Ware and trip leader Becky Henthorn.
Their itinerary covers major Italian cities such as Rome, Florence, and Venice. In these locations, they will visit renowned sites including the Colosseum, the Vatican, and the canals of Venice. This tour provides a unique opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning with real-world experiences.
The group departed on June 13 and is scheduled to return to Columbus on June 20. Throughout their journey, they will share photos and updates on the Jackets Abroad website.
The Mount Vernon community is encouraged to follow along with the students' travels through Italy by checking for updates on the website.
