The Drug Enforcement Administration is organizing a Spring Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EDT. It aims to provide a safe, convenient, and anonymous way for people to dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired prescription medications.

This initiative seeks to prevent drug misuse and overdose deaths by ensuring drugs are disposed of correctly. Participants can bring prescription drugs to designated collection sites. These locations will not accept sharp objects or syringes.

"Drug misuse and addiction have affected many lives. Proper disposal of prescription drugs helps to combat these issues," stated an official from the Drug Enforcement Administration.

For detailed information about the event and to find nearby collection sites, individuals are encouraged to contact local law enforcement or refer to official resources provided by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

As an ongoing effort, the DEA's biannual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day has successfully expanded nationwide participation, supporting public safety and health.
