2025 National Day of Prayer
On Thursday, May 1, from Noon-1 p.m. at Downtown Mount Vernon Square (1 Public Square), the community of Knox County will gather for the National Day of Prayer, uniting believers in worship and intercession as we focus on the theme “God is our hope,” lifting prayers of praise, repentance, and petition for our families, city, and nation while asking the Holy Spirit to fill us with peace, joy, and renewed purpose as we intercede for every sphere of influence including the Church, Family, Education, Business, Military, Arts, Entertainment, Media, and Government in faith-filled unity and Christ-centered hope.
Cinco de Mayo Festival & Taco Wars 2025
On Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Riverside Park in Mount Vernon (955 W. High St.), join Knox Foodies and Pancho’s Tacos for the first-ever Cinco de Mayo Festival & Taco Wars in Knox County, where guests can enjoy an afternoon of free family fun featuring live music, vibrant entertainment, local artists, and a mouthwatering selection of Mexican cuisine from Central Ohio food trucks as attendees cast their votes in a friendly taco competition to crown the area’s top taco, all in celebration of culture, community, and culinary creativity in a lively riverside setting.
