The Mount Vernon Food Services team is calling for feedback from the community to enhance the meals provided in schools. Emphasizing the importance of nutrition for student health and academic performance, the team is reaching out to parents, guardians, and students for input through an online survey.
"Proper nutrition plays a vital role in student performance. Well-balanced meals help students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn throughout the day. That’s why it’s important for us to hear directly from families about what’s working well—and where we can do better," reads the statement from the Food Services team.
The survey seeks opinions on menu choices, meal quality, and the overall service, and is open to all, whether students buy lunch regularly or occasionally. It encourages parents to complete the survey on behalf of younger students if necessary.
The survey is available until Thursday, April 18, and the team emphasizes that feedback will help shape future decisions. "Your input is greatly appreciated and will directly impact the future of our school meal program," they add.
