The community recycling bin locations in Liberty Township will be closed effective April 30. According to an announcement, the decision was made because of "continued misuse" of the bins. While this change may inconvenience some residents, an alternative is available. The Township offers a weekly curbside recycling collection service for $6 per month.

To ease the transition, Liberty Township has collaborated with Rumpke and Butler County Recycling & Solid Waste District. They are providing an introductory offer where new recycling customers will receive the first three months of recycling service at no cost. Residents who wish to register for this service can refer to a flyer for additional information. To sign up, they are instructed to send an email to service.cin@rumpke.com with the subject line “Liberty Township Recycles.”

This initiative aims to encourage more residents to participate in the curbside collection, fostering a more structured recycling process within the township.
