Parents and caregivers in Knox County have the opportunity to join a transformative and free parenting workshop designed to help children manage their emotions and interact positively with others.
Hosted by the Triple P Positive Parenting Program™, the event titled "Managing Fighting and Aggression" is aimed at providing valuable tools and techniques for parents to calm down volatile situations and foster positive behavior in their children.
"It’s natural for children to disagree or argue with each other sometimes," Triple P stated on its flyer. "But a child who bites, fights, hits or kicks isn’t necessarily going to just ‘grow out of it’ without your help. This 2-hour small group session will give you new ways to calm down volatile situations and help prevent them."
The session will focus on equipping parents to teach their children how to: share and be gentle, cooperate and build strong relationships, and solve problems without resorting to aggression.
Interested parties can choose between two formats for this free discussion group:
- Virtual Session: Tuesday, April 8, 2025, via Zoom from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- In-Person Session: Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at New Hope Early Education Center, 11700 Upper Gilchrist Rd, Mount Vernon, OH. For the in-person class, dinner and childcare will be provided.
