Mount Vernon Nazarene University has announced the upcoming exhibitions, "Myths & Perception — Sam Cook Senior Exhibit," alongside the MVNU Art & Design Exhibit. These events will take place at Schnormeier Gallery from March 24 to April 4.

Visitors can attend a gallery talk with Sam Cook on Thursday, March 27, at 5 p.m., followed by an opening reception for both exhibits until 7 p.m. "Myths & Perception" features installations that explore Greek and Roman myths and their evolution over time. The exhibition uses paper-mache, natural objects, and drawing to retell ancient stories in temporary mediums.

The MVNU Art & Design Exhibit is a juried selection of student work from the university's Art and Design program. This semi-annual show highlights various mediums and showcases student progression through the program.

Schnormeier Gallery, located at 221 S. Main St., Mount Vernon, on the first floor of MVNU’s Buchwald Center, is dedicated to showcasing diverse artistic expressions. It is open Monday through Friday from 1-5 p.m., with free admission for all visitors.
