The city of Mount Vernon has announced the temporary closure of Mansfield Avenue between Belmont Avenue and Nuce Street to facilitate gas line installation. This announcement was made through a Facebook post on March 12, 2025.
According to the announcement, Mansfield Avenue will be closed from March 12 to March 20, 2025. On the first day, the road will accommodate emergency and local traffic, as well as buses, from 8 AM to 11 AM before closing completely until 5 PM. From March 13 onwards, flaggers will manage traffic during the day, with the road reopening nightly after 5 PM. The closure was requested by Global Energy Partners.
