Help your kids to value themselves and be proud of who they are. Bring them to the Children's Storytime at the Annex at 112 E. Gambier St, Mount Vernon, OH on March 22.
The story time which will start at 10 a.m., will feature the book The Name Jar. It was written and illustrated by Yangsook Choi.
“In the beginning of the story, Unhei, the name of the main character, is scared that her new classmates might not like her because of her strange sounding name,” the author stated in an interview. “But at the end of the story, she chooses to be brave and chooses to be herself.”
The program is recommended for children ages 3 to 7 years old and must be accompanied by their parents or adult guardian at the event until the story time is completed.
