PUBLIC NOTICE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bid for the safety improvements of KNO-CR14-11.13 PID 115809, will be received by The Knox County Board of Commissioners, at the office of the Commissioners, 117 East High Street, Suite 161, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, until 10:00 a.m., local time on April 3, 2025, at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be sealed and marked on the outside envelope as bid for KNO-CR14-11.13 PID 115809.
The Project consists of: widening and resurfacing of CR 14 (Danville-Amity Road), improving ditches extending culverts and guardrail installation. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Knox County Engineers Office, 422 Columbus Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays (excluding holidays) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of $100.00 for each set. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Knox County Engineer”. All documents become property of the prospective bidder, with no portion of the payment being refunded. The Bid Package must be purchased from the above-mentioned location to be considered a plan holder, receive Addenda, and be eligible to bid on the project. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
All bidders must be ODOT pre-qualified. All bidders must submit a DBE Utilization Plan with Formstack at time of bid submission.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
This is a prevailing wage project and is subject to Davis Bacon Rates.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.
