The Mount Vernon City School District has announced that the online application form for new open enrollment will be available from April 1, 2025, through May 15, 2025. This period allows elementary students residing within the district's attendance area to apply to attend a different elementary building. It also permits students from outside the district's attendance area to apply to attend a school within the Mount Vernon City School District (MVCSD).
Parents wishing to enroll their children under this program must create a "OneView" account. To do this, they should select the parent icon at the top right of the district website and then proceed to the OneView Parent Portal. Detailed instructions for setting up a parent account and for new open enrollment are provided on this page. Students enrolling under this program must complete the online registration process.
It is important to note that no applications will be accepted before April 1, 2025. Any submissions made prior to this date will be denied. The deadline for submitting applications is set for May 15, 2025. Applications will be reviewed according to board policy and administrative guidelines related to open enrollment. Once an application is submitted, applicants will receive a time-stamped email notification confirming their intent.
