The East Knox FFA of East Knox Local Schools announced that its Agricultural Sales Team competed in the six-county District 7 event at Amanda Clearcreek High School in Fairfield County. The announcement was made in a press release.
According to the press release, the East Knox FFA Agricultural Sales Team, consisting of freshmen John Schillinger, Hayden Garman, Cash Cook, and Brayden Moran, participated in the District 7 competition. The event included an online exam on sales and business transactions, followed by a hands-on demonstration where team members developed sales approaches and conducted mock sales presentations to judges. This year’s product focus was John Deere commercial mowers, and teams also created and presented a group sales plan for an additional product.
District 7 includes 31 schools from Knox, Licking, Fairfield, Franklin, Pickaway, and Ross counties. While only the top two teams advanced to the state-level competition, East Knox placed seventh, gaining experience in customer relations and sales strategies.
