With the high school softball season fast approaching, three Danville seniors are preparing to take the next step in their athletic careers by signing their National Letters of Intent.
According to the information provided, Alicia Humphrey will make her commitment official on Friday, February 21, after school, signing with Davis & Elkins College, a Division II program in West Virginia. Humphrey’s decision came as a bit of a surprise, but her coaches and teammates are excited to see her continue her career at the collegiate level.
On Monday, February 24, after school, teammates Addison Mickley and Abi Sapp will sign with Mount Vernon Nazarene University, solidifying their futures with the Cougars’ softball program. Both players have been key contributors to the Blue Devils and are expected to bring their talents to the next level.
These signings mark a major achievement for the Danville softball program, which continues to develop athletes for the collegiate level.
