2025 EmpowerUS
EmpowerUS, an event for Knox County high school students, will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at The Glenn A. Gallagher Centre, 1451 Gambier Road, Mount Vernon. Hosted by the Teen Advisory Council, the event aims to connect and empower students. Entry is $10 at the door and includes food, a photo booth, an awards presentation, a keynote speaker, and dessert. Dress is dressy casual, with pastels encouraged. The event is open only to Knox County high school students.
A Night of Comedy featuring Mike Conley
A Night of Comedy featuring Mike Conley will take place from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at The Woodward Opera House, 107 S. Main St., Mount Vernon. The event, supporting Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 147, will feature comedians Sam Bendegkey, Bob Ciotola, and Jeff Robinson, with Conley as the headliner. Doors open at 6 p.m. for main floor table holders and 6:30 p.m. for balcony ticket holders. Tickets are $300 for a table of 10 and $20 for balcony seating.
