The Fredericktown Freddies secured a 71-61 victory over the East Knox Bulldogs on January 17, with notable performances from several key players. This win improved the Freddies’ record as they continue to progress in their conference play.

According to the game report, Gavin Toombs led Fredericktown by scoring a team-high 23 points and contributing six rebounds. His scoring was particularly crucial during pivotal moments when the Freddies needed to extend their lead.

Blake Sipes also played a significant role in the victory, finishing with 14 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Sipes maintained a consistent presence on both ends of the floor, and his defensive efforts helped disrupt East Knox’s offensive flow, especially in the second half.

Carson Rinehart added ten points, five rebounds, four steals, and four assists. His well-rounded performance included distributing the ball effectively and creating turnovers that significantly impacted the transition game.

Despite strong individual performances from East Knox’s Landon Dawson and Hayden Merritt—each finishing with 20 points and seven rebounds—the Bulldogs were unable to overcome Fredericktown’s balanced offensive attack and defensive pressure. Dawson and Merritt kept the game close with their scoring; however, Fredericktown managed to pull away towards the end.
