The East Knox Bulldogs pulled away in the second half to defeat the Loudonville Redbirds 61-44 on Wednesday night.
Hayden Merritt led the Bulldogs with 20 points, while Kyson Miller added 15 and Corbin Pott chipped in 12. East Knox took a 25-18 lead into halftime and used a strong second-half performance to extend their advantage and secure the victory.
Loudonville was paced by Judah Layton, who scored 20 points, but the Redbirds were unable to overcome East Knox’s balanced scoring attack.
The win improved the Bulldogs to 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. Head coach Ryan Powell’s squad will look to build on this momentum as they continue their season.
